Tech Gadget Organizer

RVs always have a limited amount of storage space, so any gadget that helps maximize storage is a big plus in my book. Maybe that has something to do with the fact that I travel in a 19-foot class-C.

Enter the Skooba. No, not with diving masks and stuff, rather the really neat tech gadget organizer made by Skooba, manufacturer of a wide range of laptop bags and gear bags. This simple travel organizer will really help you get control of all those cables, chargers and doo-dads that accompany all of your electronic toys.

Phil at TechnoRV says: “The travel organizer is an elegant, highly efficient way to store and protect all the cords, adapters, batteries and other accessories that travel with your portable electronics. It keeps everything organized and gets rid of the ‘snake pit’ in your carry-on bag, suitcase or backpack. Over 15 intelligently organized, flexible spaces hold cords and cables, AC power blocks, adapters, batteries, USB drives, office supplies, even compact cameras and MP3 players. When not filled with all of your accessories, it even makes a great protective case for most netbook computers, and we’ve even heard from customers who’ve used their organizer for low-tech applications like travel toiletries.”

I had a big plastic box, jammed with USB cables, chargers, ink cartridges and even a webcam (don’t ask!). Jouncing down the road produced a ball of wiring with no clear start or finish, and the box took up a lot of room. After the Skooba, all that stuff now fits completely into something the size of a medium phone book, and it tucks neatly into a corner of the cabinet. Plus, when I open it, I can see everything and easily find what I’m looking for. That’s cool! Can you live without it? Probably, but why would you want to?
